Any auto accident injury caused by a third party, which requires medical care and treatment, is considered under a medical lien. A medical lien may cover many auto accident injuries, including car and motorcycle accidents. Here is a list of some of the injuries that may occur during an auto accident, which a medical lien may also cover:
When an auto accident is not a person's fault, there are steps to take to have the treatment covered by the responsible party or their insurance. The initial step is to file a personal injury claim with an attorney, which may result in a medical lien against the responsible party. According to the American Bar Association, "you have a negligence claim in a 'fault' state if you are injured by a driver who failed to exercise reasonable care because drivers have a duty to exercise reasonable care anytime they are on the road" (americanbar.org, 2016).
Typically, an attorney will facilitate the medical lien and work with the responsible party's insurance company to negotiate the amount covered. Essentially, a medical lien enables the injured person of the auto accident to have their medical care paid for by the other person's auto insurance. Also, medical liens allow the injured person to seek immediate medical attention without waiting months to receive their benefits.
I was in an accident with my daughter. I was in pain but didn't think much of it until It became more intense and I decided to look into getting help. I was recommended to come here and I have to say it was the best decision I made for myself and my daughter after the accident. I go in with pain and leave feeling better my daughter even will take a nice long nap after we leave. She after the accident hasn't been sleeping well and wakes up screaming at night tugging at her ear. After every appointment she sleeps that night*
B.HTaylorsville, UtahTo be quite honest I am not a big Chiropractic fan but when my family and I got into a major accident we were referred to Dr Hansen. I was very sceptic but proceeded to go and meet with him and see what he can do. Great guy to work with very knowledgeable in his field. He took it one step at a time to let me know what was going to happen in all the treatments. Great staff to work with. Thanks again Dr for all your hard work and patience.*
G.BTaylorsville, UtahDr. Hansen is the exact kind of healthcare provider you hope that you get to see. He is extremely knowledgable, he tries to get to the root of the problem instead of alleviating just symptoms, and he cares about your personal life and making sure you don't pay medical bills you don't need to. I got into a ski accident in March 2022. At first, my knee was sliding out of place, and even after that stabilized, I couldn't even lift my knee to a 90 degree angle (I'm young and was flexible so this was a drastic reduction in movement). Dr. Hansen has extra training and credentials that make him able to help with physical therapy, so before I even got an Xray or an MRI, he was identifying muscles that were likely injured and giving me light exercises, as well as readjusting me to make sure my whole body was in the right place for recovery. He did a variety of treatments, including realignment, dry needle treatments, and showed me stretches and exercises to do. After my MRI, he was able to really get to the source of my problems, and I'm pretty much back to normal in less than a year. I know a few physical therapists, and all of them said I would definitely need surgery, and they wouldn't even try other treatments. Dr. Hansen actually looked into my own circumstances and was able to get me pretty much healed in a half year, without any surgery. It shows that he really will go the extra mile and not just do the basics to help you. Bonus: he also helped my husband a while back. My husband had been seeing massage therapists and chiropractors for pain that would be helped temporarily after, but never went away. Dr. Hansen was able to identify that he was likely feeling reference pain, and that the actual affected muscle was elsewhere. Readjusted him there (after no other chiropractors had ever found this) and his pain was gone. Hopefully this demonstrates that he really knows what he's doing and get your body working the way you want it to. I've recommended him a lot, because he is the exact kind of healthcare provider you want to see when you're injured. He has made a monumental difference in my recovery.*
K.GTaylorsville, UtahI broke pelvis and fractured my S1 & L5 in a bad snowmobile accident in 2018. After a couple of years of physical therapy I still felt like I was only about 50%. I started going to Wayne for some back and pelvis adjustments. Wayne has definitely helped keep my back and pelvis in alignment. He was highly recommended from a couple of good friends of mine and I am visiting him on a regular basis.*
B.STaylorsville, UtahDr. Hansen is hands-down the best chiropractor I have seen in 25 years. I have suffered from lower back pain for years due to an accident I had in my late teens. This man knows exactly how to treat my issues and I always walk out of his office with a feeling of relief. His rates are very reasonable and my adjustments never take more than 15 minutes. I have recommended him to several people and every one of them agree that he is the best in his field.*
